The sunshine and clouds in this poem represent immortality. The sun signals a new day which could also represent a brand new life. Nature and the relationship with humanity is described frequently throughout this poem. Nature and the seasons also represent the mood and emotions certain characters are currently in. The "sister" in Tintern Abbey keeps the writer sane and at peace. The "sister" may have also been believed to keep the writer immortal. The writer describes the love felt for the sister.

Nature is more colorful and bright in Summer and Spring. Fall and Winter may be represented as sadder times because of the cold and weather.
Keat and Shelley both use nature to express their feelings. Both poets represent Spring and Summer as different emotions compared to Winter and Fall. The also use their religious beliefs throughout their poems.
